In Pakistan, the third day of burning oil tanker: dozens dead and hundreds more missing

In Pakistan the explosion of an oil tanker at the plant for the recycling of ships has already killed 20 people and more than 130 people are still missing. It is reported by The Maritime Executive citing local media.

Taken on local TV footage you can see that the tanker, which exploded on 1 November, still burning.

Regional and national officials promised to conduct a thorough investigation of the accident. Were taken into custody the President of the Association on ship recycling in Gadani and the foreman of a salvage crew on the tanker. Also proceedings were instituted against two more suspects.

It is noted that the accident occurred due to the fact that the old tanker was not properly cleaned, and the area in which the workers used torches, were polluted by the oil sludge, which led to the explosion.

We also recall that on 3 November in Pakistan from-for collisions of trains 18 people were killed and over 40 were wounded.
