In Odessa more than 2 thousand people came to the meeting with the famous Russian musician and public figure Andrei Makarevich, who spoke against the aggression of Russia against Ukraine. The meeting was held late in the evening of 18 August at the Green theatre, located in the Central Park of culture and leisure. Taras Shevchenko, reports UNIAN.

Places everyone is not enough, many sat steps on the floor, on the curbs around the perimeter of the amphitheatre and stood. Among the honored guests was the famous satirist Mikhail Zhvanetsky, and actress Nona Grishaeva.

About an hour before the start of the meeting due to the large influx of audience, the guard closed the entrance gate, and many were unable to go inside. There was a stampede, people trying to break in, and then called the police.

Recital Makarevich was held in the form of an open lecture (entrance was free), which the leader of the rock group «time Machine» devoted to beauty and its perception of this concept.

After the lecture Makarevich answered questions from the audience. The audience, in addition to the main themes of the lecture were interested in the attitude of the musician towards the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Makarevich said that has nothing to do with politics. Their statements in support of Ukraine and participation in various actions, he argued that «used to tell the truth», and Russia’s intervention in Ukraine’s sovereignty called the wrong.

«That I do – no policy. My father has always taught to tell the truth…», — has told Makarevich.
