In Moscow «activists» disrupted the screening of a film about the Holodomor

In Moscow on 26 November, the Ukrainian cultural center held a «protest» in connection with the anniversary of the Holodomor, according to RIA Novosti.

About two dozen «activists», headed by the municipal Deputy of area Yakimanka Dmitry Zakharov came to the Ukrainian cultural house said that it does not agree with the statement that the Holodomor is a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Also, according to «Komsomolskaya Pravda» the so-called activists disrupted the screening of the film «Famine-33», which was held at the Ukrainian center, calling it «Russophobic». It is noted that «activists» staged «installation» — laid under the Ukrainian flag at the entrance to the center of the bone and pig’s head and a poster «the Myth of the Holodomor is a lie and dance on the bones». The police in the actions of the «activists» did not intervene.

We will note, Ukraine honors memory of victims of Holodomor of 1932-1933. This year marks the 84th anniversary of the organized Communist government of the former USSR genocide of the Ukrainian people — the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

According to a study conducted by the Institute of demography and social studies named after mV ptukha NAS of Ukraine together with American researchers, in Ukraine in the years 1932-1934 famine killed approximately 4 million people, or 13% of the total population.

In Kiev, other Ukrainian cities held ceremonies in memory of the victims of the Holodomor. World Congress of Ukrainian in the weeks organizes commemorative events in 32 countries around the world. Theme events: «the Holodomor is not broke». This year’s national commemorative events dedicated to the people who were able to realize themselves, despite the experience in 1932-1933.
