According to the results of counting all the votes in the election of President of Moldova was won by the leader of the Socialist party Igor Dodon.

According to them, Igor Dodon received 52,18% of the vote.

His rival, the candidate of the Pro-European forces Maia Sandu – 47,82%.

He previously said he will be President for all citizens of Moldova, Maia Sandu congratulated with the achieved result and called for calm.

We will remind, on Sunday, November 13, in Moldova there has passed the second round of presidential elections: for the presidency prezentovali Chairman of the party of socialists Igor Dodon and the single candidate of the right forces, the leader of the party «Action and solidarity» Maia Sandu.

According to the results of the first round of the election for Dodon voted more than 48% of voters, and for Sandu — about 38% of the electorate.

This is the first 1996 presidential elections. From 2001 to 2009 the head of state elected by Parliament. In the spring of 2016 the constitutional court of Moldova issued a verdict on returning to the procedure of popular election of the President.
