It is noted that in this place at different times there were three temples. The first is wooden, built in 1761. But its destroyed the Russo-Turkish war. Over time, the wooden Church of St. Nicholas was restored, and a hundred years later the Church decided to build not of wood, but of white limestone. Here, in particular, lay the relics of the clergy.

This year in the square near the monument to Lenin began the reconstruction, near the pedestal and the art school removed the asphalt. It was then that the staff of the local history Museum first noticed the trench, and then a slate, which were once the floor of the Church. Scientists have excavated part of the Foundation of the temple and even find old coins.

As told senior researcher of the Krivoy Rog city historical Museum Irina Steblina, the excavated part of the basement will be placed under the cap, so people could see how previously built.

The research staff of the Museum of nobody, and get volunteers. Already dug eight meters of Foundation in length and six in depth.
