The Eastern region was the first that was visited with official visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine Jan Hell. His visit to Kharkiv on November 16 it began with a meeting and a joint briefing with the head of the regional state administration Yulia Svetlichnaya, writes LB.ua.
The main topic of conversation Svetlichnaya and Inferno was held in Kharkov of the Ukrainian-Polish forum on decentralization. It is planned that the event will be Polish analysts and experts in the field of decentralization. The Ukrainian side at the forum will be represented by heads of governments at all levels and local self-government, as well as representatives of communities who are already United, or have just started the process.
«The forum will be held on November 29. It will be devoted to exchange of experience between Poland and Ukraine in the sphere of decentralization, — said Svetlichny. – Very important for Ukraine the experience of Poland as a representative of the EU successfully realize complex reform. Holding such a forum in Kharkov will contribute to the reform of local government in our region.»
The sides noted their intention to expand cooperation in various fields.
«We’d like to help Kharkiv region, understanding the role of this region in geopolitics. Also believe that it is necessary to think about the development of various programs, including in economic and cultural spheres,» said Inferno.
During a visit to the region, the Ambassador also opened in Kharkiv a memorial plaque to the Marshal of Poland Jozef Pilsudski , and together with Svetlichny held a reception for representatives of the Diaspora on the occasion of the National holiday of the independence of Poland.
