In Italy, were stolen 14 years ago, the paintings of van Gogh

Two paintings by Vincent van Goghstolen 14 years ago from the van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, has been found in Italy.

In 2002, the attackers stole two paintings: «view of the sea in Scheveningen» and «out of the Protestant Church in Nyine». The kidnappers were caught in 2004, but then the paintings could not be found.

Museum experts have confirmed that police found the paintings are originals.

It is also noted that they are in satisfactory condition, in spite of small defects.

Van Gogh was found as part of a lengthy investigation by Italian police.

We will remind, in 2013 the leadership of the van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam announced the discovery of the painting «Sunset in Montague», which was written in 1888 and was considered missing.

Earlier, another picture that was stored in the Netherlands and is considered the work of an unknown artist, was an original van Gogh. Accessory picture van Gogh was confirmed by the experts of the van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
