Archaeologists have discovered the ruins of the fortress and fortifications, the days of Jewish king Solomon (10th century BC) in the Timna valley (Israel).

Reportedly, the remains of a fortress found on the site of the ancient camp of miners that mined copper ore.

The Israeli scientists, in the time of king Solomon copper was a very valuable commodity and in great demand. For this reason, because of the ownership of mines often led to armed conflicts.

Archaeological finds (weapons, presence of fortifications, stables for pack animals) indicate that the inhabitants of the camp were not only mined the ore but also participated in armed conflicts.

Presumably, it is in this area and there is one of the battles of king Solomon in the wilderness described in the Bible.

We will remind, earlier in 2013, Israeli archaeologists reported the discovery on the shore of lake Tiberias, better known as the sea of Galilee, ancient ruins. The age of the ruins is about two thousand years, and researchers believe that they can be described in the gospel of Mark Dalmanuthawhere Jesus fed four thousand people with seven loaves and fish.
