In Catalonia has closed about half of the schools not to allow a referendum on independence – Reuters

Spanish police have closed 1,300 2,315 schools in Catalonia, which can be used as polling stations for the referendum on independence for the region, according to Reuters.

According to the source Agency in the government of Spain, 163 schools are currently occupied by activists of the referendum.

The vote on Catalan independence scheduled for 1 October.
