In Bucharest already two meetings: one for the resignation of the government, the second President

In Romania for the eighth consecutive day of anti-government demonstrations continue: the main requirement of the protesters – the resignation of the government and early parliamentary elections.

The other participants of the protest action, which takes place in front of the presidential Cotroceni Palace, demanding the resignation of President Klaus Iohannis, according to the UKRINFORM.

«We continue our protest, because even after treatment of President Klaus Iohannis to the Parliament, it seems to us that the leaders of the coalition, our voice wasn’t heard,» said one of the protesters.

According to preliminary data, in an anti-government rally in Victoria square in Bucharest attended by about 10 thousand citizens, at that time, as at a rally against the President are a little more than a thousand residents of the Romanian capital.

As reported, on 31 January, the Romanian government approved the emergency Ordinance amending the penal law. This was the reason for the start of anti-government protests. Most of the demonstrators believe that the regulations the government intended to legalize bribery and corruption.

February 5 regulations were repealed, but protesters continued to protest.

On 7 February the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis made an appeal to the deputies of both chambers of Parliament – Senate and Chamber of deputies. In his speech, the President urged members of the ruling coalition for common sense, the search of optimal ways out of this crisis, urging the government to focus on solving urgent socio-economic problems, not on the mitigation of the criminal law.
