In 2016 the Crimean ports illegally came 150 foreign vessels

For the period from 1 January to 31 December 2016 150 merchant ships under the flags of foreign countries (including 49 under the flag not of Russia) docked at the port of the occupied Crimea — Yalta, Sevastopol, Yalta, Feodosia, Kerch is in violation of the prohibitions and sanctions.

This is evidenced by monitoring the publication of BSNews, which uses a system for tracking ships via AIS (automatic identification system).

In 2016, the 110 «old» offenders, calling at the occupied Crimea in 2015 or in 2014, adding 40 vessels violating the regime of the occupied territory for the first time. Most of them were Russian.

In the three years to the database of violators of the regime of the occupied territory were 283 court.

The monitoring is performed in relation to ships that carry out passenger and cargo transportation to/from the ports of the Crimean Peninsula, as well as special courts participating in the implementation of major infrastructure projects of the occupation authorities (dredgers, vessels-cable layers, pipe layers).

Recall that on 30 April 2014 Ukraine has officially closed the ports of the Crimea (Sevastopol, Evpatoriya, Yalta, Feodosiya and Kerch) for international shipping. In addition, the criminal code introduced article 332-1 of the violation of the rules of entry to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

According to the Statute, members of crew arriving on Board in the Crimea, fall under administrative and criminal responsibility before Ukraine group for illegal border crossing and violation of order of entry on occupied territory.

A year later they were removed from the list of sea ports of Ukraine, opened for call of foreign courts.

Despite the ban, a court ignoring the decision of Ukraine and continues to go in the Crimean ports.
