Hackers stole the data of 150 million users of the app for diet and fitness

American company Under Armour Inc reported the theft of data about 150 million users of its app MyFitnesPal, after which the company’s shares fell by 3%, writes Reuters.

This is one of the five largest data thefts in history. Hackers were able to access usernames, passwords and email addresses of users applications for diet and fitness. However, they were unable to access social security numbers, driver’s license and information about Bank cards.

Under Armor said that working with firms on data protection and law enforcement, but did not provide details about how hackers infiltrated their network and stole the data.

In September 2016 at Yahoo said the theft of 500 million accounts and its users. In may 2016, Reuters reported that Russian hackers have put up for sale hundreds of millions of stolen accounts, email services, among which have been mentioned and Yahoo.
