UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres, said about the need to restore the warning mechanisms of the cold war era that would guarantee effective communication and provide the opportunity to prevent escalation. So he answered a journalist’s question about the expulsion of Russian diplomats, the official website of the United Nations.

According to Guterres, the state of relations between the United States and Russia increasingly resembles the cold war era.
