Groysman said that more than 6.5 million families in Ukraine receive grants for payment of utilities

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that more than 6.5 million families in Ukraine receive grants for payment of utility services, the press service of the government. The Prime Minister said during the presentation of the report on the work of the Cabinet for the third quarter of 2017.

He said that the heating season should be stable and uninterrupted, as in Ukraine, prepared the fuel supply.

«More than 6.5 million households will be paid subsidies for housing and communal services as targeted support and assistance to those who need it,» said Groisman.

According to him, an important focus of the government – gradual reduction of energy imports and achieve energy independence.

«For nine months we stopped the decline and increased production of domestic gas by 700 million m3,» – said Groisman.

He also said that over the past nine months, more than 100 thousand Ukrainians joined the program «warm» loans. «Next year will be to work the energy efficiency Fund,» – said Groisman.

As of February 2, 2017, subsidies for utilities, 7.4 million Ukrainian households, said Minister of social policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva.

The Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik said that by 1 October 2017 it is planned to accumulate $ 17 billion m3 of gas for the heating season 2017-2018. In the heating season the period of 2016-2017 years, Ukraine was included with gas reserves of 14.7 billion m3 and ended it with 8.4 billion m3.
