The development of industry of Ukraine, in particular the segment of mechanical engineering, will provide the economic growth not less than 5%. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at the meeting in Kharkiv, the press service of the Cabinet.
«We talk about sustainable economic growth, and it requires the development of its own engineering, innovation. Ukraine’s exports are growing, the share of exports to EU countries grows. Today, we are constantly working to expand markets for products, and it is important that our machine-building complex was also one of the leaders,» said Grauman.
September 26, Groisman said that the government predicts economic growth in Ukraine for three consecutive years.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said on 21 September that Ukraine’s economy has been growing for six consecutive quarters.
According to state statistics, from April to June of 2017, real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine grew by 2.4% compared to the same period in 2016.
On June 6 the world Bank improved the forecast of GDP growth in Ukraine to 2018, from 3% to 3.5%. The Bank has kept the GDP growth forecast for the current year at 2%.
According to the forecast of international rating Agency Fitch, in 2018, the GDP growth may reach 3% due to improved consumer demand and investment.
Groisman said that the development of mechanical engineering ensures the growth of the economy at least 5% 28.09.2017
