Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that as of 19.00 on Tuesday the situations in Avdiivka (Donetsk region) controlled and the authorities are able to maintain a minimum level of heat to the infrastructure of the city.
«We support a minimum level of heat settings and we have hope that together we will be able to keep the situation and even improve. I don’t want to go into technical details, but as of now the situation is completely under control,» he said during a meeting of the operational headquarters in Avdiivka military and civil administration on Tuesday 31 January, reports .
Groisman noted that the meeting was all worked out alternative scenarios of energy supply of the Town, in order to maintain a minimum level of activity of the city.
He reported that Avdiivka city hospital is already on alternative energy, heavy patients were evacuated, leaving only the sick, which, if necessary, can continue treatment at home.
«Military-civil administration took the decision to suspend educational process, and this is the right decision. Five schools enrolled over 1 million children. Mass Exodus from the city no. I had assigned to work out the possibility of the operation of one school, where the children could be a light day,» he informed.
The Prime Minister stressed that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has activated all the mechanisms, so that the enemy ceased shelling the city.
«This means that once established the regime of silence, we will be able to attract all the repair crews to quickly restore power supply of Avdeevki», — he said.
Groisman also announced that on Wednesday, February 1, there will be a meeting of the government, which will also address the issue of ensuring the life of the Town.
