The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine reported about suspicion to the former mayor of Kiev Leonid Chernovetsky in the abuse of power or official position, reports a press-service GPU.

The Prosecutor General’s office carries out pre-judicial investigation in criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal construction of the facility engineering and transport infrastructure (helipads) on Park road in Kiev.

It is established that the illegal actions of the former mayor of Kiev Chernovetsky in the interests of not installed currently individuals from the entourage of former President Viktor Yanukovych, expressed in illegal withdrawal, change of purpose and transfer of valuable land in lease for the construction of the helipad.

Also, the ex-mayor is accused of understatement of rent for the land and as a consequence of the destruction of the archaeological heritage than the territorial community and the city of Kiev suffered damage totaling more than 250 million hryvnia.

The results of the investigation July 14, Chernovetsky is reported about suspicion in Commission of the criminal offense under part 2 St. 364 (abuse of power or official position) the Criminal code.
