The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine stated that the ex-Minister of incomes and fees of Ukraine Alexander Klimenko suspected of committing several criminal offences including forming a criminal organization and application to the state material damage in the amount of UAH 3.1 bn.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General, the Chief military Prosecutor’s office is currently conducting an investigation in criminal proceedings concerning former high-ranking officials since the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, «including Klimenko, who is suspected of committing criminal offenses under part 1 of article 255, part 4 of article 28, paragraph 5 of article 2191, part 4 of article 28, part 2 of article 205, part 4 of article 28, part 1 St. 366 Criminal code of Ukraine».
«Namely: participation in an organized criminal organization, the Commission, in its composition the most serious crimes against state property, crimes of average and small weight in the sphere of economic and service activities that caused serious consequences in the form of material damage to the state of $ 3.1 billion UAH, that is in especially large sizes», — it is told in the message of the Prosecutor General.
The Prosecutor’s office emphasize that in connection with absence Klimenko on the call to the investigator on August 19, 2016 based on the agenda, which was posted on the official website of the Prosecutor General, for the delivery of change notifications previously reported suspicions and reports of a new suspected suspected Klimenko was awarded in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, the lawyer Klimenko Tatyana Zhukovskaya at a press conference in Kyiv said that the ex-Minister Klymenko does not have the status of a suspect, and all actions taken by the investigation against him as a suspect are illegal, said to «Interfax-Ukraine».
August 19 became known that the Pechersky district court of Kiev refused the Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine in granting permission to initiate in absentia proceedings against ex-Minister of incomes and fees Klymenko.
Earlier, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the amount of damages caused by the activities of firms related to the former Minister of revenues and duties of Ukraine Klimenko and businessman Sergey Kurchenko, is 198 billion.
