The investigation into the murder of Euromaidan activists Sergei Nigoyan, Mikhail Zhiznevsky and Roman Senik were assessed, which gave grounds to consider the involvement of law enforcement officers.
This was announced by the head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk in the broadcast channel «112 Ukraine».
«They can say, are not disclosed to date. And it really is a big minus. But this does not mean that they have not been in over the years» –said Gorbatyuk.
«There were difficulties which slowed down the investigation. The fact that the preliminary examination which was held, as you know, during the month that the investigation was carried out by representatives of the previous government. Was the examination that the shots in these three individuals, Zhiznevsky, Serhiy Nigoyan, Senik, were allegedly committed (from a distance — ed.) up to three meters. Version put forward only that it is some disguised as a provocateur, or perhaps among her» – he said.
«We have questioned these findings, appointed a new examination, which shows that the shot could be made from a greater distance. The circle of suspects were already law enforcement officials. We have already established units that were there. The question is to narrow the circle of suspects,» says Mr. Yan.
«Despite the absence of suspicion, the work continues», – he added.
Mr. Yan said that in cases of crimes against Euromaidan sent to court more than 220 indictments today for 35 of those convicted.
Previously, Mr. Yan said that Zhiznevsky and Serhiy Nigoyan was killed with bullets, that uses only the interior Ministry.
Also Gorbatyuk said that the examination revealed that Nigoyan, Zhiznevsky and Senik killed from a distance of up to 3 meters, while law enforcement officers were not less than 30 m from activists of the Maidan. «This shows that they were killed or provocateurs, or disguised as law enforcement officers», — he said.
Earlier in the Prosecutor’s office said that Yanukovych has personally made a decision about the dispersal of the Euromaidan on the night of 30 November 2013. Also, it noted that, to date, prosecuted more than 270 persons suspected of committing crimes against activists of the revolution of Dignity.
We will remind, in pursuance of an order of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prosecutor General’s office, SBU and the MVD 17 – 20 November, will hold a series of briefings, which will be announced the results of the investigation of crimes against participants of Revolution of Dignity.
