Germany opened the 67th international film festival «Berlinale»

9 February evening in Berlin opened the 67th international film festival «Berlinale». The first day will show the film «Django». About it reports DW.

«In Berlin on Thursday evening, February 9, officially opened the 67th international film festival «Berlinale». On this day guests will be able to see the debut directorial work of French producer and screenwriter Etienne Comar — biographical film «Django» of the French jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt in«, — stated in the message.

The festival will last until February 19, in total, it will show 399 films. The competition program involves 24 of the film.

The festival jury, headed by Dutch film Director and screenwriter Paul Verhoven will announce the winners on February 18.

As one of the special events of the festival announced the screening of the documentary film by Russian Director Askold Kurova «Process» on the trial of Oleg Sentsov.

Earlier it was reported that in the framework of the section «Generation 14plus» 67-th Berlin international film festival premiere of the film Directors of Georg Genoux and Elizabeth Smith «School # 3». Feature-length documentary was filmed in co-production of Ukraine and Germany. Screening at Berlinale «School No. 3» will be 15 February 2017.
