Fraction «Samopomich» threatens to leave the coalition

Faction «Association «Samopomich» can withdraw from the coalition if its demands for resignation of the government will not be fulfilled. The MP from «Samopomoch» Tatiana Ostrakova said on air of channel «112 Ukraine».

According to her, the faction made a decision about the statement of no confidence in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

«Faction «Samopomich» has decided that we will Express the mistrust towards the government, we demand his full resignation, including resignation of the Prime Minister, who was unable to cope with the reforms it has already become obvious,» said Ostrikov.

According to her, if this is not done, «Samopomich» can leave the coalition.

«The question of leaving the coalition if the government will not be completely reformatted, we will decide depending on whether we are represented in it and how we’re represented,» he said.

Recall that the January 29 meeting of the working group on amendments to the coalition agreement, it is intended to Supplement paragraphs about the timing of the arrangements and responsibility for their breakdown.

The idea of a renewed coalition agreement was supported by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Also the government has offered deputies, dissatisfied with the actions of the Cabinet, submit to the Verkhovna Rada resolution of no confidence.

On 29 January the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Alexey Pavlenko has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a resignation in response to the decision of the political Council of the party «Association «Samopomich» about its withdrawal from the Cabinet of Ministers.


According to article 228 of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada, the Parliament once a year hears the report of the government on the progress and results of implementation of the programme of activities of the Cabinet of Ministers. The government submits the report within 45 days after the end of the calendar year.

This article of the regulations also provides that if a government action is found to be unsatisfactory, Parliament can adopt a resolution of no confidence in the government.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Groysman declared that the Parliament should hear the report of the Cabinet from 16 to 19 February.
