Foreign Minister of Britain called the «extortionate» amount that the EU can put to London for an exit from the organization

The amount that, presumably, the EU can put London for the country’s withdrawal from the organization, are «predatory», said the Minister of foreign Affairs Boris Johnson, speaking on July 11 at the House of Commons, reports The Telegraph.

The Minister added that the UK will not be considered with the desires of the European Union if Brussels will require London to pay €100 billion over Brexit.

He noted that the British government had no plan in case Britain decides to withdraw from the European Union, not signing a deal with other members of the organization, as London will sign an «excellent agreement» with the EU.

A referendum on British exit from the EU was held on 23 June 2016. According to the results, 51.9% of Britons voted for the country’s withdrawal from the community of 48.1% – wanted to remain in the EU.

The official procedure of withdrawal of Britain from the EU was launched on 29 March 2017 and will take about two years.

19 June in Brussels began negotiations for a Brexit. Representatives from the UK and the European Union agreed to a timetable for further negotiations.

The Financial Times wrote that the European Union would require the UK before exiting the unit to pay up to €100 billion, Johnson said that eventually may come out that Brussels will pay the UK for Brexit, but not Vice versa.

Secretary for the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union David Davis said on may 22 that the UK might withdraw from talks on Brexit if Brussels does not cancel the requirement to pay the London €100 billion of compensation.
