Florida declared a state of emergency in connection with the approaching hurricane «Irma»

The Governor of the state of Florida (USA) Rick Scott declared a state of emergency in connection with the approaching hurricane «Irma,» according to his press service.

All 7,000 employees of the national guard stationed in the state, must be on duty the morning of 7 September, when the expected impact of elements, stated in the order.

«Now that the hurricane «Irma» received a fifth category, we must do all we can to prepare our families and community for any impact of this large-scale disaster. We don’t know exactly the route of the storm, but hoping for the best, should prepare for the worst,» said Scott.

According to the National center USA for the prevention of hurricanes, 6-7 September, «Irma» will sweep over the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos Islands. The threat hanging over Cuba and the southern tip of Florida, however, the forecast requires confirmation, meteorologists warned.

«Irma» is a powerful hurricane formed in the Atlantic ocean since 2007.

In connection with the approaching disaster, the Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosello 4 Sep declared on the island state of emergency.
