FIFA may disqualify the Spanish team from all tournaments, including the world Cup in 2018

The international football Federation (FIFA) has sent to the Royal Spanish football Federation (RFEF) a letter in which he warned the authorities from interfering in the activities of the Federation. It is reported by the newspaper El Pais.

In the event of failure of the request FIFA may suspend the membership of RFEF, which means the removal of Spanish football teams from all competitions, including the football world Cup in 2018.

FIFA believe that the Spanish government put pressure on the situation with the election of a new President of the RFEF. This is contrary to the 13th article of the Charter of FIFA, according to which Federation members should be independent.

The FIFA representative told El Pais that in the near future to resolve the situation in Madrid will head the delegation of the International Federation of football.

The duties of the President of the RFEF now plays Juan Luis Larrea.

The world Cup 2018 will be held in 11 Russian cities from June 14 to July 15 and the final will take place at the stadium «Luzhniki» in Moscow. The tournament will bring together 32 teams.

According to the draw, which was held in Moscow on 1 December, Spain was in group B along with Portugal, Morocco and Iran.
