FIDE rating: sisters Muzychuk on the third and sixth places

The international Federation of chess (FIDE) submitted a rating list as at 1 February 2017.

Top ten list of women remain two Ukrainian women — Anna Muzychuk (coefficient 2558) and her younger sister, former women’s world champion Mariya Muzychuk (2546), which retained 3rd and 6th positions respectively, reports «UKRINFORM».

Women’s rating is headed by the world champion Chinese HOU Yifan (2651), ahead of her compatriot Ju Wenjun(2583).

In the first hundred of the strongest players in the world, except the sisters Muzychuk, four representatives from Ukraine: 29. Natalia Zhukova (2447), 33. Anna Ushenina (2444), 58. Inna Gaponenko (2407), 93. Tatiana Vasilevich(2372).

In men, the undisputed leader of the world champion Norwegian Magnus Carlsen(2838).

In a world composed of seven hundred chess players of Ukraine: 13. Pavel Eljanov (2759), 15. Vassily Ivanchuk (2751), 37. Ruslan Ponomariov (2709), 40. Yuriy Kryvoruchko (2705), 51. Anton Korobov (2691), 56. Alexander Areshchenko (2683), 91. Alexander Moiseenko(2661).

As earlier reported, FIDE has published the pairings for the first round of the women’s world championship to be held from February 10 to March 5 in Tehran (Iran).
