Europe is not the time to forgive the aggression of the Russian Federation — the mission of Ukraine to the EU

The unity of the EU on the issue of solidarity with Ukraine is the best way to stop Russian aggression and it’s not time to talk about lifting the sanctions against Russia. This is stated in the article acting as the Representative of Ukraine to the EU Love Nepop in the publication Euractiv, reports «European true».

According to her, Russia now does not shun any means, trying to justify the illegal annexation of Crimea. In particular, it launched a propaganda campaign in the EU, appealing to «historical facts» and «common past» and getting the response in Europe.

«Those who call for the revision of the current EU policy against Russia, trigger a sense of deja vu. In the spring of 1939 the French newspaper L cropped up… convinced that it is not in the French interest to support Poland, and the Polish annexation of one city will stop the annexation of Hitler», — writes the Love Nepop.

According to her, the unity of the EU’s solidarity with Ukraine was the most effective way to stop the Russian military successes and to regain the stability of Europe.

«As a victim of the aggressive policy of the Kremlin, Ukraine is very interested in Russia becoming a democratic and modern state. The restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty over Crimea and the Donbas will be a litmus test for the willingness of the Kremlin to return to the framework of international law, whose basic principles were blatantly violated.

Only then it will be time to talk about a constructive dialogue with Russia, as well as the lifting of sanctions,» — emphasizes Nepop.

Earlier it was reported that the Donbass is just one of the places in Europe where Russia can strike. Therefore, NATO should increase military deterrent force. This was stated by the commander of U.S. forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges.
