EU diplomats discussed sanctions against Yanukovych and his associates. In February needs to approve.

The European Union, most likely in February, will extend for one year sanctions against the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and 15 of his associates.

On Thursday 19 January, wrote in his Twitter Brussels correspondent of Radio Freedom Rikard Jozwiak.

«EU diplomats today discussed extending for one year the sanctions against Yanukovych and 15 of his colleagues, that will likely happen in February,» he wrote.

The last time the EU Council has extended for one year restrictive measures against former President Viktor Yanukovych and his associates 15 March 5, 2016.

Sanctions against Yanukovych and his associates were introduced in March 2014 and extended to March 2015.
