Elisha: Russia in some EU countries are trying to circumvent the sanctions regime

During the summit Ukraine – EU, the Ukrainian side has provided the countries of the European Union evidence of bypass Russia imposed sanctions against it. This broadcast «5 channel» said Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev.

«We drew attention to the fact that Russia in some EU countries are trying to circumvent the sanctions regime. Therefore, we drew attention to the need to address these gaps in the sanctions regime and in this context handed over the documents, which were clearly written out the facts when Russia passes to the European sanctions package,» said Elisha.

On 28 June the EU Council took a formal decision on the extension by six months of economic restrictive measures against Russia in connection with the actions of the Kremlin to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. The sanctions include limiting access to the primary and secondary markets of the EU capital for five major state-majority companies and their subsidiaries and to three major Russian energy companies and three defense companies.

On 22 June, EU leaders agreed to extend for six months economic sanctions against Russia in connection with the fact that Russia does not Minsk agreement. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the day said that the sanctions against the Russian Federation shall be extended until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
