East ghouta in Syria has left more than 150 thousand people, the press service of the Ministry of defense of Russia on March 31.
«On the humanitarian corridors out of Eastern ghouta, with the assistance of the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria continues to leave civilians… since the beginning of the action «humanitarian pauses» from Eastern ghouta… organized output of more than 150 thousand people», – is told in the message.
The Department also notes that the humanitarian corridor in the locality of Mukhayam al-Wafidin with the assistance of the center continues the peaceful population’s withdrawal from the Syrian city of Duma. «Over the past day district left 607 civilians. Only from February 28 of this settlement organized exit 29 of 102 people», – said in the defense Ministry.
The war in Syria lasts since 2011. The fighting involved government forces, the opposition, radical Islamists, Kurds and the militants of the «Islamic state». To conflict at different times joined the armed forces of the United States, Russia, Turkey and Iran.

Syrian monitoring centre for human rights on 6 March reported that the bombing of government forces in Eastern ghouta, February 18, killed more than 800 civilians.
On 7 March, troops of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad took control of over half the territory of Eastern ghouta, who were subjected to massive air strikes of Russian aviation.
