During clashes at the Verkhovna Rada of 11 injured law enforcement officers

In clashes near the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev on February 27 injured 11 law enforcement, the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine.

«Participants of the meeting brought the walls of the building tires and wanted to burn them. The police tried to stop their actions. However, the protesters began to behave aggressively: they threw stones and firebombs at law enforcement officers. As a result, 11 police officers were injured. Currently, nine of the offenders was taken to the regional police Department, where their actions will be given a legal assessment», – stated in the message.

In Kiev on 27 February there was a scuffle between protesters and police. The people’s Deputy from «popular front» Anton Gerashchenko said that the provocation near the Verkhovna Rada was organized by the representatives of the party «movement novih forces», whose leader is the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.

The ex-President of Georgia said that neither he nor his force irrelevant to current events.

The journalist Andrey Dzindzya has published in Facebook a video of the collision. According to him, the clashes began after the call of the MP from the «Samopomich» Yegor Sobolev of «seizure of power».

February 18 in Kiev held a «March for the future», organized by «Rukh novih forces.» Activists demanded the resignation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Marches were also held in several other cities of Ukraine.
