Duda has urged the Ukrainian leadership not to appoint to important positions people with anti-Polish views

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda has urged the Ukrainian leadership to exclude from the political process of people with anti-Polish views. He stated this in an interview with Radio Maryja, the recording is published on YouTube.

«This is necessary to speak loudly, to important positions in Ukraine there are people, almost having openly anti-Polish views, this is unacceptable,» said Duda.

According to him, «this is a very good sign with the Ukrainian side,» in relation to Poland.

«I expect President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, that people who openly proclaim to be nationalist and anti-Polish views, will not occupy important posts in Ukrainian politics,» – said the Polish President.

He considers such people «do not build cooperation between our countries, they destroy.»

«So, the people in politics, which is of international importance, should not represent the Ukrainian side,» – said Duda.

On 2 November the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said Poland intends to start the procedure, which will not allow to enter the country Ukrainians demonstrating anti-Polish views. The foreign Ministry of Ukraine said that the country has no anti-Polish sentiment.
