Died in France, writer Michel Tournier

In the city of Choisy at the age of 91 years died the famous French writer Michel Tournier.

Tournier began working at «Radio France» as a journalist and translator, was leading the transfer of «Hour of French culture». In 1954, works in advertisement for Europe 1. The book was included in the school curriculum, it has sold 7 million copies and was translated into many languages.

In 1972 Tournier became a member of the Goncourt Academy. In 1975 he published his third novel, «Meteora», which tells about the lives of two twins, Jean and Paul.
