Croatia stands ready to share experience with Ukraine reintegrate the occupied territories

The Republic of Croatia in the framework of the revitalization of relations with Ukraine is ready to share with our country the experience of harmonization of legislation according to European Union standards, as well as the reintegration of the occupied territories. This was stated by Prime Minister of Croatia Andrey Plenkovich at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman, reports UNIAN.

Plenkovich, who was elected Prime Minister of Croatia in October 2016, is in Kiev on his first official visit in the rank of head of government.

«We are ready to help our friends the government of Ukraine with the synchronization and harmonization of legislation, which will make you ready to further relations with the EU. Such expertise is our know-how, — said Plenkovich. Another aspect, which is very important, is to help in the reintegration of the occupied territories. Experience that was used by Croatia was collected within the work of the UN mission. And now it may be interesting to the Ukrainian government. Our country is ready to give advice».

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called a feasible implementation in 2017 the meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Croatia, aiming at expanding cooperation between the two countries and to strengthen the potential of bilateral trade.

According to the state statistics service, foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and Croatia for the first 8 months of this year increased by 50% compared to the same period of 2015. The positive balance is $ 13 million. The export of Ukrainian goods to Croatia is 28 million. import — 14,5 mln USD.
