Council authorized the parties to exclude candidates from the electoral lists was adopted the law

The Verkhovna Rada has supported a draft law that would permit the parties to exclude candidates for people’s deputies of Ukraine from the electoral list in multi-member constituency after the announcement of election results and before the decision of the Central election Commission declaring them elected.

At the evening session, Monday 16 February for the bill No. 3700 on amendments to the law of Ukraine on elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine on the exclusion of candidates for people’s deputies of Ukraine from the electoral list in multi-member district, at a meeting on Tuesday in the first reading and in General voted 236 deputies, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».

The bill provides for the authorisation by the decision of the Congress (meeting, conference) of the party after the announcement of the election results to be excluded from the electoral list of the candidate.

According to the document, the candidate can be excluded from the list of the party at any time after the date of the election prior to the adoption of the CEC decision on the recognition of his chosen.

Morning session of Parliament today, on February 16, the Verkhovna Rada twice «failed» this bill, then, at the evening session of Parliament, speaker Volodymyr Groysman once again put to the vote the question of the return to consideration of this bill and the Parliament adopted it.
