The departure from power of President Vladimir Putin will not be associated with «a lot of blood,» said Chechen politician in exile Akhmed Zakayev in an interview Sotnik-TV.
«Those who looted, along with Putin and plundered Russia, they will run away. And wanting to defend Putin and to shed Russian blood, I don’t think a lot of them. Just two or three months, when Putin will have nothing to pay even the security forces, the situation will change. So maybe not as bloody, the consequences can be the result of the displacement of the Putin regime», – he said.
Zakayev suggested that Putin may unleash a war in order to enlist the support of the population.
«To change the existing regime in Chechnya can be perceived Putin’s electorate as his next victory. They shifted all boring, Ramzan Kadyrov. And the events in Dagestan, corruption sweep of the political elite of Dagestan, which was formed last 30 years, this is a message to Kadyrov and his entourage, and the Russian public… What Putin can do the same to campaign in Chechnya without a military campaign» – the politician said.
He added that Putin is unlikely to sit out his next presidential term.
«Revolt, I think, inevitable. Before this riot Putin will not leave voluntarily», he concluded.
