«Everything that was written by the Norwegians is true. We really boycott stage in Tyumen. But do this not because of nationalism, politics or dislike of Russia. We would do in a situation with any other country. We have a very small but proud country in the biathlon, no athlete of which have never been disqualified for doping. Skip a step is a matter of principle, the essence of our sport,» she said.
Canada became the first country whose national team on biathlon has announced a boycott of the competition in Russia.
