Brother Saakashvili can legally stay in Ukraine until the end of November 2017 – the lawyer

The Pechersky district court of Kiev on September 26 suspended proceedings against the State migration service on invalidation of the decision on expulsion from Ukraine of David Saakashvili, a brother of the party leader «movement novih forces» of Mikhail Saakashvili. About it «to Gromadsky» said attorney David Saakashvili Paul Bogomazov.

«The judge stopped the proceedings for annulment of decisions of the migration service about the return of David Saakashvili from Ukraine», – he said.

According to the lawyer, this means that at least until the end of November 2017 David Saakashvili can legally stay in Ukraine.

September 2, Mikhail Saakashvili said that his brother David was arrested by officers of the Ministry of internal Affairs in Kiev and taken away in an unknown direction.

The interior Ministry said that David Saakashvili must leave the territory of Ukraine, as his residence permit was annulled. According to the spokesman of the Agency Artem Shevchenko, the State migration service has cancelled the permission to stay in Ukraine David Saakashvili in March 2017 on the basis of the information obtained from the State employment service about the cancellation of his permit.
