British anti-doping Agency wants to ban Russia’s participation in the Olympics in 2018

The head of the British anti-doping Agency believes that the whole Russian team should be banned to take part in the Olympics in 2018.

This about ukad ukad Chairman David Kenworthy said in an interview with the BBC.

«Yes, I think that Russian athletes should be removed from the Olympics. They should have been suspended from the Olympics in summer 2016. I believe that the Paralympic Committee has done the right thing, removing Russia. The IOC’s screwed up everything», — he said.

According to him, Russia has allowed flagrant violations of doping, which negatively affects the image of sport.

«Related to this was too much politics, that’s the problem. People probably were trying to protect their selfish interests. It is extremely important to do it right, otherwise we risk losing the trust of the audience. If they cease to walk, why do sports», — quotes his opinion of the air force.

Kenworthy added that he was indifferent to the Games in Rio because I saw Russia.

«It’s amazing what was done. It demeans the whole sport. The main thing you need to do is to force Russia to return to the framework of rules. It will take a lot of time and effort», he concluded.

We will remind, the international skating Union (ISU) took away from Russia the right to host the world Cup in Chelyabinsk (10-12 March).

Previously national teams of Czech Republic, Norway and the UK have announced their intention to boycott the world Cup biathlon, to be held in the Russian city of Tyumen.

Even before the international Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton (IBSF) decided to postpone the world championship 2017 from Russia to the German city of Konigssee. Initially the tournament was to be held in Sochi, but in the last days leading skeleton approximation of the country announced a boycott of the world Cup.
