Former British Ambassador to Ukraine Tim barrow appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom in the European Union, reports the BBC Russian.
Barrow will replace on this post of Ivan Rogers, who was appointed Ambassador to the EU in November 2013 and goes with this post earlier than planned.
Lately Rogers has been criticised by British parliamentarians for their harsh statements about the «breccia».
In December, Rodgers stated that Britain will need 10 years to conclude a trade agreement with the EU.
In the announcement of his resignation, Rogers noted that London has no extensive negotiating experience required for the implementation of the «breccia».
As expected, the barrow will play a key role in the negotiations for the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union. Experts note that it, too, is hardly an ardent supporter of the «breccia».
Tim barrow was Ambassador to Russia from 2011 to 2015, and from 2006 to 2008 he held the position of British Ambassador in Ukraine.
We will remind that on June 23 in the UK held a referendum, the results of which showed that the majority of Britons in favour of leaving the EU (52% vs. 48%). After that, the EU leaders adopted a joint statement which called on the UK authorities as soon as possible to start the implementation of the decision on withdrawal from the EU.
The Prime Minister , Theresa may, intends to start the procedure of withdrawal from the EU in March 2017.
