Britain and the European Union on 17 July the official start of the new round of negotiations on a Brexit

17 July in Brussels begins a new stage of negotiating the British exit from the European Union. This was stated by Minister on Affairs Brexit David Davis, reported on the website of the British government.

Before meeting with Michel Barnier, the EU which is, Davis recalled that the talks remain the questions of «the rights of citizens, the Finance division and Northern Ireland».

The President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani said earlier that negotiations on Brexit will be held without delay, the EU can not «add more time to negotiate.» According to him, the issue will be resolved before the European Parliament elections in 2019.

A referendum on British exit from the EU was held on 23 June 2016. According to the results, 51.9% of Britons voted for the country’s withdrawal from the community of 48.1% – wanted to remain in the EU.

The official procedure of withdrawal of Britain from the EU was launched on 29 March 2017 and will take about two years.

19 June in Brussels began negotiations for a Brexit. Representatives from the UK and the European Union agreed to a timetable for further negotiations.
