Biathlon: sprint in Ruhpolding, Germany was won by the Frenchman Fourcade, Ukrainian Pidruchny came 7th

Two-time Olympic champion, the Frenchman Martin Fourcade won on Friday 13 January in the sprint race at 10 kilometers of the 5th stage of the world Cup in Ruhpolding, Germany.

The result of the winner — 22 minutes 34.2 seconds and 0 misses on the shooting range, reports «UKRINFORM».

The second distance overcame Austrian Julian Eberhard (18 seconds behind the winner, 0 misses), the third – Emil Svendsen (39,7, 0).

Among the Ukrainians was the best Dmitry Pidruchny from Ternopil, who finished seventh (59.5 seconds lag, 0 misses).

Pryma Artem was 35th, Vitaly Kilchitsky — 47, Sergey Semenov — 48-m, Vladimir Semakov — 61.

In the first two days at the world Cup passed the torch relay. Both male and female teams of Ukraine stopped at the step of the podium, finishing in fourth place.

Saturday, 14 January, in Ruhpolding will host the women’s sprint 7.5 km Start at 15.25.

Sunday, January 15, will be given to the race of persecution. Men 12.5 km start at 12.25, women 10 km at 15.40.

Recall that about a month ago at the third stage of the biathlon world Cup in Nove mesto (Czech Republic) the Frenchman Fourcade also won the 10 km men’s sprint race. Among the Ukrainians showed the best result Sergey Semenov, finishing in 7th place.
