Deputy foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya said that representatives of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations tried to stop the consideration of all resolutions in the third Committee of the UN General Assembly, which focuses on human rights, where today will consider a resolution on Crimea.

In turn, the first Deputy Minister of information policy Emine dzhaparova in Fasebook said that the initiative of Belarus voted 101 member country of the UN, abstained – 37, — 32.
According to her, Belarus brought to a vote of the Committee is not to consider the agenda (no action motion). «Belarusians (obviously clear who is behind them) tried to block consideration of the Crimean issue, using a procedure no action motion. As reported, today at about 23:00 on the Kiev time in the third Committee of the UN General Assembly, which focuses on human rights, is scheduled to vote on the draft resolution «Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)», initiated by Ukraine. The project has the objective of protecting the constitutional rights of citizens of Ukraine on the territory temporarily occupied Ukrainian Peninsula.
The document condemned the massive human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and calls on Russia as the aggressor state to comply with its obligations under international law.
The draft resolution also stresses the necessity of releasing the illegally detained Russian citizens of Ukraine and cancellation of the decision on prohibition of the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
The document also calls on Russia to grant international human rights mechanisms, especially the UN mission for monitoring the observance of human rights in Ukraine, unimpeded access to Crimea with the aim of ensuring monitoring of the situation with human rights, as well as apply to the office of the UN high Commissioner for human rights to prepare a thematic report on the situation in the occupied Peninsula.
