Because of the hurricane «Harvey», the U.S. has reduced oil production in the Gulf of Mexico

Offshore oil and gas operators in the Gulf of Mexico are evacuating platforms and rigs due to tropical storm «Harvey». This is stated in the report of the Bureau of safety and environmental protection of the United States.

Have evacuated personnel 105 production platforms, which amounts to 14.25% of all 737 American platforms in the Gulf. Workers were evacuated from five fixed drilling platforms out of ten.

So, as of 27 August oil production in the Gulf of Mexico decreased by 21.5%. She fell from 1.75 million to 1.31 million barrels per day.
