Faction «Batkivshchyna» appeals to President Petro Poroshenko and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groisman to immediately convene an extraordinary session of Parliament to vote for the resignation of the government.
On Monday 19 February, stated during the press conference, the leader of the «Batkivshchyna» Yulia Tymoshenko, UNIAN reports.
«We are now openly and publicly appeal to President of Ukraine and appeal to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada with a single requirement — in accordance with article 83 of the Constitution where it says that the extraordinary session of BP with the specified agenda shall be convened solely by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada or at the request of the President of Ukraine. In addition, there is the opportunity to collect a third of signatures of people’s deputies, but these are the same factions of the President and the Prime Minister», — said Tymoshenko.
According to her, the meeting should be one item on the agenda is the resignation of the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
Tymoshenko noted that there are constitutional tools for the dismissal of the Prime Minister, that involves the resignation of the entire government.
«For good reason and all the tools,» she said.
In addition, Tymoshenko said that it is necessary to reconsider the strategy of socio-economic development, the provisions of the coalition agreement and approve the step-by-step withdrawal of Ukraine from the crisis.
As reported, on February 16, the Verkhovna Rada votes to 247 recognized the unsatisfactory work of the government, but did not support the no confidence in the Cabinet: the expression of no confidence in the government voted only 194 deputies at necessary 226.
After that, the faction «Batkivshchyna» announced its withdrawal from the coalition.
The next plenary meeting of Parliament, according to a schedule, is scheduled for March 15.
