Athlete Colors and swimmer Boyko won gold at the Paralympics in 2016

In Rio de Janeiro ended the second day of the Paralympics in 2016, where the representatives of the national team of Ukraine won two gold awards, the official website of the competition, reports UNIAN.

In the race for 100 meters Igor Colors in the race for 100 meters showed the result of 12.31 seconds ahead of Fabio to Silva, Bordigoni from Brazil (12,66) and hernán Barreto from Argentina (12,85).

In turn, in the race for a distance of 100 meters backstroke Gennady Boyko overcame the distance in 2 minutes 08,1 seconds. He has more than 19 seconds ahead of Francesco Batelli from Italy.

Bronze on account of yet another Ukrainian Anton Cola, stragglers from the Italian by just 0.39 seconds. A little later the silver in the swim 50 meters freestyle was won by Eugene Bogotano. Bronze medals were won by swimmer Sergey Palamarchuk and judoka Alexander Kosinov.

At the moment the national team of Ukraine takes 3rd place in medal count — 4 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze medals, 19 medals.

As reported, the Paralympics 2016 in Rio takes place from 7 to 18 August.
