Astana has announced a new meeting on Syria on 6 February

In Astana on 6 February, the representatives of Iran, Russia and Turkey will hold the next meeting on settling the situation in Syria.

This was stated by the press service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, wrote on Thursday February 2, local edition express-k.kz.

«In the framework of the upcoming event, representatives of three countries-guarantors of the cease of hostilities in Syria — Russia, Turkey and Iran plan to discuss the observance of the cease of hostilities by the parties parties to consider the proposals of the armed opposition on the strengthening of cease-fire imposed December 30, 2016, to determine the other modalities of implementing the cessation of hostilities», — explained the details of the meeting in Astana.

The upcoming meeting on Syria will be held in Astana with the participation of the special representative of the UN Secretary General on Syria Staffan de Mistura.

Earlier it was reported that de Mistura has proposed to the UN Security Council to postpone the start of inter-Syrian talks in Geneva from 8 to 20 February.
