On Friday, February 26, Rivne and Khmelnitsky NPP for the first time since 2004 began to operate at 100% load all the blocks. This became possible with the introduction of the new transmission lines with a voltage of 750 kV at the end of last year, reported the press service of «Energoatom».

At RAPP operated four power units: two VVER-440 started in 1980 and 1981, and two WWER-1000, launched in 1986 and 2004. At Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant has two nuclear VVER-1000 reactor connected in 1987 and 2004.

We will remind, in December of 2015 Ukraine has put into operation a high-voltage line from the Rivne nuclear power plant in Kyiv region, which will allow to transfer excess capacity of the two West Ukrainian NPP scarce in the Central region, which includes also the capital.

The construction project was prepared in 2007.
