A quarter allocated from the state budget funds of the party spent on advertising, the Committee of voters of Ukraine

A quarter of the funds, which the parties allocated from the state budget, they spent on advertising, the Committee of voters of Ukraine (CVU), analyzed the financial reports of political forces in III and IV quarters of 2016, and for the first, second and third quarters of 2017.

It is noted that only from September 2016 to September 2017 the party collectively spent $ 436 million UAH, of which 407 million – budget funds.

Most funds, 109 million, the political power spent on advertising in the media. More of 68.5 million UAH (16%) went to local organizations, 66.4 mln UAH (15%) on material costs and payment of services 57.4 million UAH (13%) – for salaries, 46.5 million UAH (11%) – rental of premises.

According to the CVU, the largest percentage of funds is spent Radical party (41% of the funds, 19 of the 47 million), Samopomich (38%, 39 of the 104 million), Opposition bloc (33%, 5 out of 15 million) and «the popular front» (30%, 33 out of 109 million). It is noted that the share of the costs of Batkivshchyna and the bloc of Petro Poroshenko «Solidarity» is relatively low, ranging from 0.2% to 5%.

The Chairman of the CVU Oleksiy Koshel said that the organization has developed amendments to the legislation, which prohibits parties to place advertisements for the budget

The law on state financing of parties was adopted in October 2015. The people’s Deputy from the Bloc Poroshenko Sergei Leshchenko said that every Ukrainian will spend on financing of parties 80 cents per month.
