A court in Russia has deprived of the right to Roshen brand of chocolates Kremona

The intellectual property rights court of the Russian Federation on 9 January upheld the claim of the suburban individual entrepreneur Oleg Shackogo to the «daughter» of the Ukrainian company Roshen on early termination of legal protection of a trademark Kremona. This is stated in the court decision.

The court decided to revoke trademark protection Kremona in respect of all goods of the 30th class of the international classification of goods and services (drinks based on coffee, cocoa or chocolate, cereals, ready to eat).

The contested mark was registered to a company Roshen 19 November 2010 and was valid until August 12, 2019.

During the election campaign in 2014, Petro Poroshenko promised to sell the company if he becomes President. After winning the election for the sale of Roshen company was invited Rothschild. However, just to make a deal and failed. Poroshenko explained that this is due to the beginning of hostilities in the East of Ukraine.

20 January 2017, it became known that stops the production of Roshen in the Russian Lipetsk. In June were completed the conservation of the factory.
