58% of Russians regret collapse of USSR – poll

58% of Russian citizens interviewed in late November, the Russian research organization «Levada-center», an affirmative answer to the question «do You Regret the collapse of the USSR?». This is stated on the organization’s website.

«No» was chosen by 26% of respondents. The remaining 16% were undecided.

Compared with the survey in March 2016, the number of regretful about the collapse of the USSR increased by two percentage points.

In «Levada-the center» noted that most regretful of the Soviet Union belong to more age groups.

A survey using personal interviews was conducted from 24 to 28 November, was attended by 1,600 Russians aged 18 years and older. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) existed from 1922 to 1991, and occupied almost a sixth of the land.
